Acupuncture on Arthritis, Headaches, General Lethargy and Eczema due to 20 years of anti-rheumatic medicines

On her first visit to my clinic in 2005, she had suffered from Arthritis of the joints, headaches and general lethargy. She had also symptoms such as cold limbs and extremities. This problem was relieved after 6 treatments. Due to her short stay in Singapore, she would always arrange for time to come in for treatments for her shoulders and knees.

In 2007, on her 2 separate visits, I was surprised to find her with Eczema and skin allergies on her face. I managed to find out that she had been taking a group of anti-rheumatic medicines for her Arthritic Inflammation over 20 years. Upon further research I found out that some of the medications would bring on undesired complications. Eg, Skin conditions, Eczema.

For her skin allergies on the face, I had selected ECIWO Head of 2nd metacarpal bone, Quchi, Sanyinjiao, Dazhui, Fengchi, for two treatments a day.

Acupuncture on Chronic Sinusitis of 6 years

Suffered from Chronic Sinusitis for 6 years and had a history of Asthma. Easily affected by weather, air pollution and sensitivity. Points selected from ECIWO Head and Shangxing Baihui, Yingxiang, Zusanli, Neiting. His wife noticed the difference that night he went home and he had managed to sleep very well.

Other points included Neiguan, Yintang, Waiguan, Baihui, Dazhui and Fengchi. Additional points applied on him including, Feishu and ECIWO Lungs of the 2nd metacarpal bone. It took him 11 sittings altogether.

Because he was recovered from acupuncture treatments, he introduced a fellow colleague who had suffered from Severe Rhinitis and Tinnitus to treatment with Acupuncture too, in hope that he was able to benefit from this ancient form of medicine.

Acupuncture on Depression, Low Immunity and Insomnia

A colleague, Ms Werner, introduced her to us for treatments. Had been suffering from Depression, Low Immunity and Insomnia. Seen several doctors regarding the various conditions and difficulties, and took many medicines for the combination of ailments including uncontrollable crying. With the many varieties of medications the symptoms still persisted and with little help on the depression.

Treatment:

  1. A-First visit was on 4 May 2007, arranged for 1 course of 8 treatments, together with herbal medicine to help with the sleeping difficulties. The results were effective and she showed great improvement on the overall.
  2. B-The follow up of the first course had revealed a cyst under the right breast about the size of a small egg. This was diagnosed and she was advised to have it surgically removed by the doctors she saw. She had very low immunity and stress at work had caused her fatigue and lumbago at the same time. Due to the return trip to London for visit of her family, 1 course of 10 treatments was recommended to her. I had also advised her to seek a second opinion on her condition- if it endangered her life she would have to seek surgical removal immediately.

Regular points taken on Tianzhong, Jianzhen, Jianqian, Jianxi, Dazhui, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao and Above the right breast outer point.

Also prescribed Ping Xiao Pian, Cordyceps and Liu Wei Di Huang Wan for her trip back to London. This is part of the treatment to maintain her condition and replace the treatments she would not be receiving.

On her follow up treatment after 2 months later, the cyst lump was disappeared. Her medical check up in London hospital showed that there was no longer any cyst presence in her right breast.

She had since taken up maintenance treatments for her health and took up quit smoking treatments to improve herself.

Acupuncture on Miscarriage, accompanied with Irregular Menstruation

Married with 1 child but suffered 2 times miscarriage, accompanied with Irregular Menstruation. Sought Acupuncture in London, 1 course of 8 sessions, and took up Herbal Remedies and Vitamins Therapy. Ultrasounds and blood tests were done several occasions to determine the cause for her hormonal imbalance and relation to her unnatural labour. However, scan results had shown no abnormality in the reproductive systems and blood results showed normal readings During treatment, points selected were ECIWO Kidneys, Guanyuan, Zhusanli, Sanyinjiao, Chensan.

Throughout the treatment, I had discovered that she had rather weak immunity, presenting with pre-cold syndromes often and having throat discomforts, respiratory problems, etc. Therefore following points were selected to treat the symptoms, including Dazhui, Mingmen, Yaoyangguan, Feishu.

She had completed 1 course of 8 treatments within 1 month, followed by recommendation to rest the body for duration of about 1 month. After which, she continued with treatments for health maintenance basis for another month, 5 treatments. Last course of treatments of 5 sessions reaped results. On the 2 treatment of the third course, she experienced temperature surges that relate to her ovulation. On the last session, she brought in good news of being pregnant for 4 weeks and her health was in good state with no experience of previously mentioned symptoms.

Maintenance treatments were recommended to keep up the health and energy unless necessary. Also advised were treatments to protect fetus if there are signs of breached fetus in the later stage of pregnancy.

Acupuncture on Thyroid Disorder of 3 years

A case of Thyroid Disorder for 3 years, maintained condition by western medications and regular follow-ups in the Endocrine Clinic. Blood results showed close to abnormal readings of TSH prior to the first visit to our centre. There was however inflammation on the thyroid glands which was recommended by the doctors in the hospital to surgically remove the gland. On the first visit in Jan 2007, readings was taken at 94/56, K90 and GB91. He was lethargic and obese (r/t thyroid disorder).
Points selected were ECIWO THROAT & THROAT of 2nd metacarpal bone, Neiguan, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Tiantu, Shang Yintang, Zhaohai, Zhongwan, Dazhui, Fengchi and Fengfu. Treatments were administered for 1 course of 5 treatments within 3 days. After the treatments, previous inflammation of the thyroid gland had subsided. Returned to Indonesia with Rhubarb and Tea herbal medicines as continuation of treatment.

On the next visit to Singapore, 8 months after, he had confirmed that the thyroid disorder was gone. The blood tests conducted at the Endocrine Clinic showed that he had normal readings without the thyroid medications.
